These courses cover the basics of Dynamic Language Learning, or natural acquisition-based language teaching.
All the courses and modules that Dynamic Language Learning offers are based on the principle that compelling, comprehensible input forms the foundation of all language acquisition. In our Basic Courses we will teach you how to accomplish that. We use a variety of teaching strategies taken from Total Physical Response, Storytelling (TPRS) and other acquisition-based methods.
Basic Course – three days
In this course you will learn the basics of Dynamic Language Learning, in other words: How to teach in such a way that your students acquire the language naturally.
After this Basic Course, you will be equipped to teach dynamic, interactive lessons that are focused on natural language acquisition.
You will receive step-by-step lesson plans for your first 10 Dynamic Language Learning lessons.
Basic Course level 2 – two days
Once you’ve started to use Comprehensible Input strategies after having followed the Basic Course, you might be interested in making your reading activities more dynamic too. Or perhaps you would like to learn other ways of offering grammar, that don’t interrupt the flow of your class.
For that reason, we developed Basic Course level 2, a follow-up to our Basic Course.
After this course, you will be able to read texts and stories in dynamic ways with your students and incorporate brain-compatible grammar teaching strategies in your lessons.
